The AGM of the Levin Folk Music Club Inc. (LFMC) will be held on Friday 2nd August 2019 at 7.30 pm in the Scottish Society Hall, Bartholomew Road. The AGM will be followed by supper (and jam if members present wish to do this.)
Subscriptions are due 30 June, 2019 or at the AGM. Please note that only financial members are eligible to nominate or vote in elections, and to discuss and vote on motions. LFMCI – Member Application form 01.07.19 – 30.06.20
Special Note
1. If any financial member wishes to bring a motion to the AGM, it must be in written form, signed and seconded by a financial member of Levin Folk Music Club Inc. and provided to the secretary by 20 July 2019.

At the AGM this year there will be a special draw taken among those financial members attending the meeting. The prize will be a free membership of the next Folk Club year. So be in to win!!

DON’T FORGET OUR AGM – Committee/volunteers/Officers are warmly welcomed.
The Committee are pleased to report that Jean Hollis was elected Secretary and Val Jenkins elected Treasurer at the AGM held on 4 August 2017. As before, the committee will designate a rotating Chairperson role. Congratulations to our committee Colin, Kevin, Keith, Cavan, Paul & John, Jean and Val, and our thanks to ex-committee member Dale who will continue as Bookings/Publicity person.

The committee will bring the following motion for discussion at the AGM.
1. That the draft guidelines for concert night member floor spots be approved and displayed on our website (to be provided at meeting).
This motion was approved for discussion at the AGM by the LFMC Committee at their meeting of 22 June, 2017.

Happy to announce Colin Brown continuing on as Secretary/Newsletter Editor this year; the positions of Chair and Treasurer will be filled within committee or rotated amongst committee members. Several new committee members (Jean Hollis and Cavan Haines) joining Dale, Colin, Keith, Kevin and Paul – wonderful! There was a productive discussion around the Motions: Motion 1 was carried, taking effect from 1 July 2017 and Motion 2 was defeated, so our concert prices will continue at $5 for members and $10 non-members. Dale will take on Bookings, with publicity help from Rona and Ian Todd. It was good to see members offering support in a variety of ways, and very positive feedback about the committee’s work and future of the Club.
