8 May 2026 – Black Eyed Susie

Black Eyed Susie features the violin and guitar duo of Susan Colien-Reid and Ramon Oza.
Susan is a classically trained violinist and a wonderful songwriter. Ramon is one of NZ’s finest guitarists and a song writer in his own right.

Susan and Ramon have worked together for many years and as a duo, have played festivals, gigs and venues throughout the North Island. Together they have written and recorded songs with a strong Celtic/Blues/ Funk flavour. Their performances always include original songs, as well as their versions of old favourites.
Many of Susan’s songs are on Soundcloud. You can check them out on: https://soundcloud.com/PTHEoqSDqDoSKtNvg.
In 2024, Ramon released a solo album of his own songs. The album is titled is “Your world or mine”.

Nick has played keyboards for many years in bands in both the UK and NZ. His performing career started in the UK playing in soul and early Britpop bands. He has since covered dance and rock genres, and was a founder member of the well-regarded ‘Gentlemen of Rock’ in Wellington in the late 2010s. He has a strong interest in folk, and learnt to play the piano accordion and rhythm guitar in his 20s. As a new member of the Black-Eyed Susie duo, he is looking to develop this side of his repertoire.

10 April 2026 – Frank John & Erin Manu, featuring Rob Greenfield

Originally from Amsterdam, guitarist Frank brings his technical brilliance to this duo. Born & raised in Taranaki Erin provides the contrast with her Pacific rhythms and smooth and smoky vocals.

The couple has gained a reputation for breathing life into interpretations of their favourite covers, with tight harmonies and solid arrangements of well-known standards, hidden gems and their own compositions.

Recently, the couple has teamed up with bass maestro, Rob Greenfield (CHCH), to record a collection of soon to be released instrumental compositions, ‘Lost For Words’. Writing is underway for a vocal album.

Whether it’s a sizzling instrumental or the soulful delivery of a ballad this partnership creates a unique sound and something for every audience.
