The Committee are pleased to report that Jean Hollis was elected Secretary and Val Jenkins elected Treasurer at the AGM held on 4 August 2017.  As before, the committee will designate a rotating Chairperson role. Congratulations to our committee Colin, Kevin, Keith, Cavan, Paul & John, Jean and Val, and our thanks to ex-committee member Dale who will continue as Bookings/Publicity person.

10 November at RSA, Bristol Street  RAVEN MAVENS & NEIL BILLINGTON  7.30 pm; Blackboard of one song each in first half; $5 members/$10 public.  A bar and restaurant are available from 5:30 pm

12 November    Amazing electric Hurdy Gurdy by Guilhem Desq – one of Wellyfest’s star performances.  At the Tsunami concert lounge – 2.30pm  Afternoon tea afterwards.  $15 cash at door.  Don’t forget to book – last concert was a full house.  021 161 9154 or adele@tmv.co.nz

24 November     Club Night at Scottish Hall  – $2 – All Welcome

26 November     House Concert at Jean’s with OWEN HUGH – $10       Sunday afternoon 3pm but come early, bring a plate for afternoon tea, no dogs please.  Bookings in advance to dalewebb143@gmail.com or 027 2079695

December 2017

2 December    House Concert at Dale’s with VICTORIA VIGENSER – $10   Social evening – 5 pm bring shared dinner.  Jamming to follow 8 pm concert.

8 December      Members Xmas Folk Party – Blackboard – Scottish Hall opens 7pm; a plate contribution is appreciated.   A good night of entertainment assured!

No club night planned – Festival Season starts!!!   Some great choices – Tahora, Whare Flat, Tui Farm, Te Rangi, Auckland Folk Festival and more!
